Beef Quality Assurance and Hawaii Beef Ambassador Training

Health and safety of our members, colleagues, and communities is our top priority. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are postponing the Beef Quality Assurance and Hawaii Beef Ambassador trainings until further notice. In the meantime, online training options are still available. We will inform you as soon as we schedule the next in-person training and look forward to seeing you then.

Beef Quality Assurance Online Training

The online training takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. There are 3 trainings designed to focus on certain segments of the beef industry: cow/calf, stocker/backgrounder, or feedyard.  Visit this site and choose either "Cow/Calf" or the "Stocker/Backgrounder" options. From there it will prompt you to click on the "LogIn" button to create an account (if you do not have an account already), enroll in a course, and upon completion, print a certificate. Your competition of the course will be associated with Hawaii, and will last for 3 years.

Hawaii Beef Ambassador Online Training

As a participant in the Hawaii Beef Ambassador Program, you will be asked to share your story as a spokesperson and advocate for the beef community. To prepare you for these opportunities, we will provide a unique training opportunity during the upcoming training session. This training will equip you to engage in conversations or answer tough questions about beef and raising cattle with people you meet, including consumers on the street who will strike up a conversation. Complete the Beef Checkoff-funded Masters of Beef Advocacy (MBA) program. If you are not familiar with MBA, the program consists of a series of five online lessons that will equip you to be an effective spokesperson for the beef community and answer consumer questions on issues including beef safety, nutrition, animal care and sustainability. Over 16,000 farmers, ranchers, chefs, dietitians, veterinarians, students, and others within the beef community have completed the MBA program since it was launched in 2009, including people like yourself. By completing the program, you will be joining this nationwide grassroots network in efforts to combat misinformation and tell the positive story of beef and raising cattle. To enroll online please click here to create an account in our online classroom. Once you verify your account through a confirmation email, you can log-in to your account and request to enroll in the MBA – Self-Guided Course. Applications are typically approved within one business day. Each lesson takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. If you encounter problems accessing or completing the lessons, please contact MBA Administrator at mba@beef.org and we will be happy to assist you.   We thank you for your understanding and look forward to meeting you once we can resume with in-person trainings.
