Each year, Hawaii Cattlemen’s Council (HCC) designates funding for chosen scholarship applicants. These funds are to be awarded at the discretion of the scholarship committee, provided that a qualified pool of applicants exists. The 2024 scholarship funds were awarded in honor of Russell Chin, whose advocacy for livestock shipping was an immense asset to Hawaii's ranchers.
