Kahua Ranch | Hawai'i

Ronald began his career in 1922 working for O`ahu Rail and Land Company, managing cattle and horses on pastures in Honouliuli, Palehua and the Ewa Plains. In 1928 he founded Kahua Ranch with his partner, Atherton Richards. In addition to managing Kahua Ranch, Ronald ranched lands above Waialua on O`ahu. He was instrumental in founding the Hawaii Cattlemen’s Association and actively operated Kahua Ranch until his death in 1953. His son, Pono, carries on the tradition as Manager of Ponoholo Ranch, in Kohala.
